WordPress supports linking text to your existing content i.e. posts and pages extraordinarily but not for your files. As of now there is no way you can link your content directly to a file. There are a few workarounds though. For example, you can “Add Media” then select your files and WordPress will automatically link its title to your file link (URL).
Still, there must be a better way to do this. That’s why we come up with “Link to WordPress Files” plugin.
Step 1: Install our plugin by searching our plugin name under “Plugins > Add New”
Step 2: Create a new or edit your existing posts
Step 3: Highlight the text that you want to link to your WordPress files
Step 4: Click on our plugin’s icon on your post editor
Step 5: Icon will take you to “Media” field, choose a file that you want to link the text to
That’s it. You’re set. It’s very simple, easy yet useful, isn’t it?
